Farmer Organizers are farmers and land stewards who are facilitating collective, cooperative, and collaborative work between 3 or more farmers and/or land based projects. We see Farmer Organizers as leaders and organizers who are focused on land and food justice, building deeper connectivity between generations of land stewards, as well as creating intergenerational spaces that center cultural practices emerging and traditional within their land and farm context. We value how collective work and collective harvest is integrated into community care and leaders who see this organizing as a broader food systems strategy.
